Energy development projects today face an unprecedented set of challenges from regulatory burdens to shifting public opinion, political divisions to citizen activism, and board concerns to conflicting stakeholder demands. This reality means the old approaches will not work. Successful energy development starts with risk assessment, stakeholder engagement, and implementing strategic approaches. One misstep by a company can have a profound impact on the outcome of a project and the company’s future. This presentation will provide an overview of the challenges, strategies, and outcomes around external stakeholders.
