Today Cleveland is home to a number of hip eateries, thriving arts and entertainment district and a fully occupied business and residential district. Investments from both public and private sources are pouring in to several areas of the city. The East Bank of the Flats Project is a big part of this renovation. The 750-million-dollar project includes restaurants, shopping centers, professional offices and condominiums located on the shores of the Cuyahoga River known as the flats. For over 100 years, this area was used as a refinery, manufacturing and shipping center for Cleveland’s’ steel, lumber and oil industries.
A-Z Solutions was contracted to design and build SSD systems to mitigate vapor intrusion as part of the east flats revitalization project. The project was comprised of 3 new construction buildings totaling over 500,000 square feet.
The vapor mitigation systems were completed in 18 months with pressure readings exceeding the pressure field extension requirements for all three buildings.
The east flats project will be used as an example of what can happen on a large-scale vapor intrusion mitigation project. The presentation is designed to give you a better understanding of the vapor mitigation process and how choosing a qualified VI contractor can save you and your client valuable time and money.
