Mr. Depa is a geologist and senior project manager at Jacob Hefner and Associates. He is a 2005 graduate from the University of Illinois with a BS in Geology, including advanced course work in Geographic Information Sciences (GIS). He has more than 15 years of experience in the environmental consulting field and specializes in creating 3D conceptual site models to assess complex sites. He has modeled high-resolution data on over 170 environmental investigation projects, including several which have been published in the peer-reviewed textbook, “Urban Watersheds – Geology, Contamination, and Sustainable Development”. Mr. Depa has also created exhibits for four separate environmental litigations, one of which was settled in late 2021 for $28.5 million dollars, likely the largest odor nuisance settlement in Illinois history.
