TU has been a designated Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) in Information Assurance and Cyber Defense Education by the federal government since 2000 and was one of the first 14 institutions awarded this distinction. In January 2022, The University of Tulsa’s designation as a National CAE in Cyber Defense was extended through the academic year 2027.
