A presentation over site selection, planning, and placement of oil and gas facilities and associated infrastructure in reference to Waters of the United States, threatened and endangered species, and cultural resources. We will discuss how to evaluate all three parameters with Federal and State databases, as well as best management practices utilized by Chesapeake Energy to avoid or minimize impacts of identified resources associated with construction activities. Outlining the permitting process and practices to ensure compliance. We will also cover the current regulatory climate and ongoing court rulings affecting the Clean Water Act and Endangered Species Act, specifically addressing how Section 404 and associated Nationwide permits are used in oil and gas operations.
