A wide variety of federal environmental regulations have been passed and/or proposed in the last 1+ year that significantly effect the energy industry. Threatened and endangered species listings, the Maui Supreme Court ruling, 404 permitting changes, NEPA changes, migratory birds changes, climate change-related rules/regulations reflect a changing regulatory landscape. This presentation will delve into the various changes, how they are or might effect exploration and production, and the future projections of where we’re headed in the next 1-2 years.
