With a new administration usually comes a new way of looking at environmental regulations. This time around is no different. Oftentimes, a lot of rhetoric comes out and tends to confuse the reality of on-the-ground operations. This presentation will focus on the issues of the day as they relate to efforts regarding the Endangered Species Act, the Clean Water Act, and the Clean Air Act, among others. In addition, it will look at various rules and regulations introduced by federal agencies in the past recently to revise how they operate, enforce and permit certain activities. This presentation will discuss the national issues as well as some specific issues each region is dealing with and attempt to provide some helpful solutions to aid in planning, construction, and operation.
